How to apply for Livestock Relocation.

This service enables citizens to relocate livestock between sectors and districts. Sector veterinary authorities approve relocations within sectors, district veterinary authorities oversee district-to-district moves within Rwanda.


The processing time is 3 days and the service is Free of charge.


Prerequisites:

  • Applicants with or without an account can apply for this service.

  • Applicants should have a Rwandan ID, refugee ID, foreign ID, or passport. 

  • Applicants should have a valid phone number, email address, or both.


Follow these simple steps to apply for Livestock Relocation.

  1. Visit www.irembo.gov.rw, and under “Agriculture & Livestock”, click on Livestock Relocation. 


  1. Click on Apply.  


  1. Select your Identification type and enter the corresponding ID number. Review your information on the right section of the screen. Add your phone number as well.



  1. Enter the Livestock details including Relocation purposeLivestock type and Relocation date.



  1. Enter the Relocation details i.e Origin location (where the livestock is currently located) and Destination Location (where you want to relocate the service).


  1. Finally, enter the Transport details by selecting the mode of transport to be used for the livestock relocation and enter the required information where necessary. Then click “Next”.


  1. Verify that the provided information is accurate, enter a phone number and/or email address, check the verification box and click “Submit”.

Once the application is successfully submitted, an application number (B…….) will be provided for you to track your application status. After the processing officer approves your application, you will receive an approval notification and you can go on IremboGov to download your certificate.
