  1. What is the purpose of the Visiting Reptiles service at the Kandt House Museum?

The Visiting Reptiles service at the Kandt House Museum allows visitors to pay for the experience of observing and learning about reptiles housed within the museum's premises. It offers an educational opportunity for individuals interested in studying and witnessing reptile species.

  1. How much does it cost to visit the reptiles?

The cost for visiting the reptiles is as follows:

  • 2,000 Frw for Adults

  • 1,000 Frw for Students and Children

  • 500 Frw per person for a group of 20 and above.


  1. Who is eligible to apply for the Visiting Reptiles service?

Rwandan citizens with a national ID number and foreigners with a passport number can apply for the Visiting Reptiles service. Additionally, applicants should have a valid phone number and/or email address.

  1. Is paying museum entrance fees separately before applying for Visiting Reptiles mandatory?

Yes, paying the museum entrance fees separately before applying for the Visiting Reptiles service is necessary. Please utilise the "Schedule a visit" service on IremboGov to pay the entrance fees beforehand.

  1. How long does it take to process an application for Visiting Reptiles?

The processing time for applications may vary. Applicants will receive confirmation and further instructions via the provided email address and/or phone number after submitting the application and making the payment.

  1. Are there any age restrictions for visitors to access the reptile exhibit?

There are no specific age restrictions for visitors to access the reptile exhibit. However, children should be accompanied by adults or guardians for their safety and guidance during the visit.

  1. Is there a specific time limit for the visit once the fee is paid?

Visitors have access to the reptile exhibit for the duration of the museum's operational hours on the day of their visit, regardless of the fee paid. There isn't a specific time limit set for the visit.

  1. Can visitors purchase tickets on-site for the reptile exhibit?

The tickets for visiting the reptile exhibit are available exclusively through the online application process on the IremboGov platform. On-site ticket purchases may not be available; therefore, visitors are encouraged to apply and pay for their visit in advance through the IremboGov Platform.

  1. Are there any special accommodations for groups or educational institutions planning to visit the reptiles?

Special arrangements can be made for educational institutions or group visitors numbering 20 and above. They are eligible for a reduced group rate of 500 Frw per person.
